The Weather God was sorely missed at a gale and wind swept Merrist Wood on Sunday. Have we finally sussed that he only chooses to play when the weather is predicted to be good?
So the brave glorious few strode off onto the Merrist battleground - two steps forward then one or two back.
With a mighty swish of the driver the balls sailed off into a headwind - never to be seen again. Reload. Repeat for the next 6 holes.
Reputations were severely damaged. Tour leader McErlean equalled his career worst score with the Titans. Expensive golf kit was stewn across the course.
There was a special prize at the 12th celebrating Ireland's 6 Nations Rugby triumph. Vice President Alan Lee kindly donated a bottle of Jamesons to the winner and to make sure he kept it he chose one of the most difficult NP2's on tour (what's new said the Prez) on one of the windiest days in Titans history. But one man rose to the challenge. Well done Pat Carr.
Finally the guest prize was won by the impressive John Limpus with a very creditable 19 points. The average score on a tough day was a measly 20 points!! Pass the whisky around Pat!!
