No-one was there to witness it but it didn't stop Phil playing the round of a lifetime at one of the most difficult courses in the Titans schedule. 41 points was a magnificent effort and even included one blob! He probably knew that it was going to be good when he birdied the notoriously difficult 1st hole, and he went on to get one more birdie and 8 pars. Amazing.

Unfortunately for Phil, the five other players, played it the way it should be played - with some difficulty. Good for Phil in that he had an easy victory - bad for Phil because he got slaughtered post match with a record handicap cut of 5.5 as a result of the low Titans Scratch Score.

Another amazing fact from the Shire.  On our first visit there some years ago about 90% of Titans went in the water at the opening Par 3.  It shows how much we have improved as a group that this time around about 90% made the green.

Paul was second on count back from Erik on 28 points. Wren picked up three minor prizes (NP, LD and £), Erik got NP and Paul got the big boys LD. Keith the Elder picked up the much coveted Magni.
