The Titans Talker official photographer went AWOL at Huntswood but this recent photo taken at Dukes shows how Weegie Smith has taken to holding the club higher at address - clearly successful given his win in the penultimate game of 2017
16 members of the Prezs purple army battled for the Warrior Helmet at a glorious Huntswood course. Quite a few (especially the VP and his eminence Sheik Ex Pat Caaarrtarrh spent time 'hunting' in the 'woods' for their balls!
The eventual winner, Weegie Will, displayed a near perfect round (35pts) from Tee to Green, which enabled the Baldy Man (very) to win the tour match and also pick up LD. Weegie Will was delighted to kneel before the Prez to graciously accept his helmet.
The moanmeister also inflicted more pain on the Prez as the gap widened at the top of the money board (430,000). With one match to go the Prez needs a win or a hole in one at Temple to seal his 1st champion golfer of the year prize after 14 years of 'presidential meandering' around the great English countryside. Clearly the battle at the top of the leaderboard is beginning to sway towards the most admirable Moanmeister - VP's (or VEEP's) plan (plot?) to oust THE PREZ has taken a new twist with him being forced to partner Deeks and listen to moans all the way around sharing a buggy. Weekend contenders must be able to take the never-ending torrent of abuse that the Deekster is capable of emitting, but this weekend the Prez crumpled. However the end of season finale may be a different story. Will it be a titanic duel in the sun?
