Freak out - The Doc secures his second Major

The Doc crowned Freak champion

Obviously being Freak Champion is very thirsty work.

Scandal once again shakes the foundations of Titans HQ as new IOC Tour Director cunningly manipulates the Tour Schedule to increase his chances of winning his second major - alledgedly.  How did he do it?  Our investigative reporter, Dirk Digger, has "unearthed" the following clear (?) evidence of malpractice:

1. Reduce the numbers playing by scheduling it on the same day as the the Boat Race - the biggest event in the Annual Chiswick Calendar
2. Schedule it also during the Easter School Holidays
3. Schedule it when the Prez is otherwise engaged wooing the First Lady
4. Taking on-course tuition from that esteemed swing coach - VP
5. However in fairness he also produced a very solid display of golf to score 30pts.

Second place was taken by Capt Will Smith (28pts) on count back from Bionic Elbows Greg who managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by scoring 1 pt in the last 3 holes whilst Will scored 5pts and Pete scored 6pts. Phil scored a very creditable 25 pts off his tough (but self inflicted?) 12 handicap to get 4th place. 

At the award ceremony Kevin G was clearly trembling as Greg announced the 5th and 6th positions. 5th or 6th in a Major is good isn't it?  Why worry?  Well he was right to be worried as there were only 6 fully fledged Titans playing so Magni was at stake. His score was definitely a contender for the prize,  however returning Titans Legend VP eased his concerns by winning Magni with a stunning score. However mitigating circumstances were that this was VP's first match for about 5 months after a foot injury.

VP can still smash that ball but note the flat left foot designed to reduce the impact on that dodgy appendage. Classic stuff.

VP's overall score was poor but there were moments of brilliance as he: 

• Won NP
• Won the Money Hole
• And hit the longest drive of the day (480 yards!) but sadly on the 3rd hole and not the designated LD hole. The powerful drive went 250y to the right up the hill, hit a tree solidly and rebounded down the hill to land about 10m in front of the ladies tee! Tremendous stuff.

Will won LD and NP2 to earn a lots of lovely dosh.

Two guests were playing and Richard beat Julian to secure the prize with a very impressive 29pts.
