The Ryder Cup is getting closer and Tod picked up some useful qualifying points for team USA with a victory at new tour venue - Gatton Manor. Everyone agreed that it was it was a worthy addition to the tour although being next door to Bognor was a little off-putting.

Todd was first with 35 points, second was James with 33 points, then Neil with 31 points and Charles with 30. The long drive prizes were won by Neil and Greg.   Neil Also won the nearest the pin and Graham picked up NP2 and the money hole.

Tour leader Alan Lee was back following recovery from a shoulder injury and he was in great form. His golf was sh1te but his quips were first class.

Commentating on Todd's drive into the trees on the left of the first fairway Alan quipped that it was okay as "it was in the first cut of trees".

But then he was overhead explaining his appointment with the physio about his shoulder.

Physio - "are you doing anything different this year that could have hurt your shoulder?".

VP - "Yes - lifting 3 titans trophies"!

Although Hywel's tremendous Net score caught the attention of the back pages, the front pages were all about Fiona's tremendous pixelated skirt - bringing Titans fashion into the 21st century. Either that or Azim has something badly wrong with his camera! Nearest the pin, best gross and the overall win meant that Fiona also starred on the back page so it was 2-1 for the ladies today. Congratulations.

Only a week late but On the 19th July Jenny L and Graham won congratulations for their birdies nearest the pins, best grosses and wins! Short update. The Titans talker wasn't there!

"Referendum Will" was victorious at Pyrford with 41 points. "Slamming Sam" was second with 37 just pipping "Mr Colourful Shorts" Neil on count back.
"Captain Panama" Paul was 4th with 29 but just pipped our Titans Stirling Moss Martin on count back.
"Gnasher" Graham was 6th and "Charming" Charles 7th. "I'm just happy to be here" Azim nudged in front of "always smiling" Kevin.
Money Hole - It had to be Scottish Will. NP Sam, NP2 Neil, LD 18+ Sam, LD 18 & under - The Captain.

Sam Dunkley struck Titans Gold at Milford on Sunday with a score of 33. Well done Sam. But don't make it a regular occurance or Statto will start to investigate your handicap. Well done also to Neil, Paul and Prez who picked up the other 3 scoring places with scores of 31 each

There was muttering in the ranks about whether VPs late withdrawal through injury was a cunning plan to maintain his advantage as prize money dropped by 500k because of the reduced field. But most of that was from the unnamed player (Phil! ) in 5th place who missed out on count back. The webmaster was also muttering but only because he played so S?*%.

The titans insurers were also interested in some near misses. They are considering an increase in premiums as Andre launched one at Greg, then an unknown golfer nearly wiped out Andre and Greg and finally Andrew took aim at Phil and only just missed. Straighten up Titans!
