It was a ding dong battle with Andre McLaughlin on the back 9 but it was fitting that ding dong Bell won it on the last hole to card a wonderful 21 points on the back 9 to make it 32 points in total. Andre finished with 30 points, just shading it from Keith. Phil "7 from the first 4" Schick took fourth with 28 points. Pat Carr had the same score for 5th. Graham picked up 6th.

But the Shire itself was probably the winner proving a tough test for the Titans. Only two out of twelve hit the green at the 117 yard opener, and only one out of 12 hit the fairway on the long drive hole!

John Limpus shone to win back to back guest prizes! It's true that there was little competition but he still posted a good score.

But shot of the day was probably from the peerless Pat Carr who nipped this beauty off the loose slate to get a score. Pat also picked up NP2, Sam won long drive, and VP got NP. 

It was a tough day for the Titans at Oak Park. The course, which is always a challenge, was even more challenging with very tricky pin positions causing mayhem in the field. The best of the bunch was Frank who finished very strongly with 13 points in the last 5 holes to post  score of 28 points beating Phil S on count back. USA Tod was third, Sam D 4th, then Philip C and Graham N. Matt B picked up NP, Phil S got NP2. Graham and Philip got the long drive prizes.


It was an adventurous day for Matt B with a great display of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
