Sam strikes again . . .

Is it the Panama or has Sam found the secret we all search for?

For the second time in three weeks (no doubt only because he didn't play on the middle Saturday). Sam swept the field aside with a succession of pars, only 2 bogies and one birdie for a gross score of 28. Is that handicap coming down fast enough - it's now down to 3 - to allow others a chance?

Not forgetting Jenny who cleaned up the Ladies, three strokes clear of her nearest rival, and now catching up fast on the leaders of the Summer tour.

Tennant wins sizzling Shire

Captain Paul "Steady" Tennant plotted his way around a stunning Shire course in London. The Titans were delighted with the quality of this course and the sun shone and shone.

All through the day various Titans shone and then faded. Greg managed to score 5 points at one hole which was a point more than one poor Titan scored in the whole round. But then on 18 he hit a long drive winning effort and decided to lay up with a 9 iron. Hit it beautifully. Into the water.

Prez shone at the Money Hole ending just inches away from a hole in one. But from the photo below you can see he was just pleased that he got inside Mike Rubber!

Mike also has his moments hitting a monster 400 yard + drive to land just short of the green. But his pulled iron on the 1st hole ended in a watery grave as none of the first three off stayed dry!!

So congratulations to Paul for a great victory and congrats too to the prez for a good runners up spot. Commiserations to VP who couldn't make it three wins in a row.

FAY AND KEVIN TAKE THE POINTS

On a surprisingly sunny Saturday, Fay and Kevin took the points despite needing count-backs from their nearest rivals.

Kevin also took the Nearest-the-Pin to record a seven point maximum on the day.

Six birdies in total suggested that it was better than average scoring for the majority and it wasn't only 1st place decided by count-back;

1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th for the Ladies
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the Men

Titans Presidents battle it out in the sun at Oak Park

Fresh back from Hollywood the president and vice president staged their own version of "Gunfight at the OK Coral" with VP just pipping Prez by 1 point in the final analysis to pick up the coveted Lancaster Bowl and 1m Titans dollars.

32 points was all it took to win and in so doing Alan Lee notched up back to back wins much to the handicappers delight. Picking up the minor prizes were Neil and Greg (long drives), Mike for NP2, and Sam NP (using his driver!). VP picked up the money hole.

But Prez give it all especially on the 18th. Check out this wonderful drive and especially the classic finish. Ballet-tastic.

And who is that peeking out between winner Alan and captain Paul?
