Linda and Ally took the awards at this morning's Par 3 competition at Dukes.

Ally could have had a par round except for 'losing it' on the 6th - he's promised to take yoga lessons from his hairdresser!

Linda's round was more than promising until Frank pointed out her score after the 7th. But two 6s on the last two holes still couldn't stop a winning morning.

Birdies are this easy!

The Ladies Captain showing all how easy it is to make a birdie - this time on the 7th at Dukes.

If it hadn't been for the pin, it would have been a hole-in-one. The tee shot came in high and fast, straight for the hole . . .

 . . . hit the pin and trickled a few inches away.

So near and yet so far. Another 'if only' story for the books.

What a pleasure not to be having to battle the elements.

Despite the putting green and the bunkers being out of action, the weather was fair and some people managed with only two layers of clothing.

Annabelle and Graham were the happy winners (although by this 'photo one could think they were considering ballroom dancing!).

There were some good scores (2 over par) and some not so good ones (20 over par!)

Par 3 Trophy

Thanks to the generosity of the Sheikh from Morocco, we now have a Par 3 trophy to be presented each week to the Ladies and Mens winners - another great photo opportunity!

So, congratulations this week to Fay and Pat who both swept the board with Best Gross, Nearest-the-Pin and, of course, winning the day.

The trophy will be presented each week to the winners (assuming the Par 3 Director can remember to bring it!). Hopefully someone will be kind enough to take a photo for the Titans Talker to comment on.
