Captain America takes up Golf - Sam D & Annabelle A win Founders

It was chilly at Pine Ridge as the 2016 Titans Season began. With a strong bitterly cold wind blowing, the scores were fairly low. However the first major winners were identified. Annabelle picked up the ladies trophy and also won the Money Hole.

In the mens competition Sam Dunkley picked up the first Major of the season, Phil was 2nd, and James 3rd. Pre-season favourites Alan and Pat did not fare as well as expected with Pat not troubling the scorers (but at least picking up the NP prize). Alan picked up LD and 7th place overall. Andre got NP2. Newcomer Kam Chaturachindra made a rookie mistake by winning the Guest Prize with a score of 39 points. He has showed his potential too early to the sharp toothed Titans handicappers!

2015 Champion had a disappointing playing start (10th) but it was a proud day nevertheless as he was announced as "Captain America - Titans 2016 Captain".

After a quick costume change Captain America took over the reins from Outgoing Captain James T McIntyre

2016 Titans Survey Results

Well of course the big new has already been announced - Prez is Craig Stadlers long lost brother. But the other survey results were interesting too although the Titans ethics committee had to meet to discuss some vote rigging malpractice. A heavy sanction would have been imposed on the Titan who voted twice but the survey results were confidential and so they cannot be easily identified. But you know who you are and know also that the Titans Cyber-Security unit is even now tracing your IP address!

Titans Champion 2016

Azim and Chris H got fine mentions but the clever money seems to be on Pat Carr and Alan Lee who each had three votes. Expect a classic Kalnins shoot out at the end of the season

Most Anticipated Course

The spiritual home (Pine Ridge) got three votes but the clear winner is the wonderful Shire course in Hertfordshire which four Titans voted as their favourite. We play it on the 26th June. If this amazing guy can play it then we all can.

Shock Survey Findings - Frank is Stadler's long lost brother

Researchers at Connolly's College, Chiswick University have just concluded the last piece of research that proves beyond doubt that the Prez and the Walrus were separated at birth. The poll by the Titans Institute asked 30 pro golfers to say if they too were true believers and 66% said yes. Consider the facts:

Stadler is a German surname
The striking similarity in looks
The staggering similarity in body form
They are both currently playing in the Champions Tour
Their better half is called Susan
Both are proven winners of Majors. Craig has won the Masters but Frank has eclipsed that with four Majors - Founders, Lancaster (twice) and Super Titans
Craig has played twice in The Ryder Cup but Frank has played a staggering 8 times (Ed - usually on the losing side!)
And the clincher is that neither can hit a 4 iron!

Craig topped the Money Board in 1982 but brother Frank has yet to achieve this. Maybe this year!
